Dezhou University, founded in 1971, is a full-time comprehensive undergraduate university directly under the Shandong Provincial Government. The university adheres to the foundation of arts and sciences, focuses on engineering, vigorously develops new and interdisciplinary disciplines, and strives to build applied professional clusters such as teacher education and “Health Plus”. Now, there are 22 schools and 3 research institutes. It has 22 national and provincial scientific research platforms and key disciplines, such as the National and Regional Research Center of Universities of the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of Shandong Province, the Academician Workstation of Shandong Province, Provincial key disciplines, and Provincial Think Tank for Foreign Affairs Research and Development.
