Shijiazhuang Institute of Railway Technology (SIRT)which was established in 1950 is located in Shijiazhuang, the Capital city of Hebei Province. SIRT is a provincial government-run full-time institute. It is a National Demonstrative Higher Vocational College and a National High-quality Higher Vocational College. It is a Constructor for High-quality Disciplines of “Double High-levels Plan” as well as one of the first batch of Modern Apprenticeship Pilot Units identified by the Ministry of Education. SIRT is one of the top 50 higher vocational colleges with the highest employment rates. SIRT is characterized with distinctive disciplines serving the fields of railway transportation, urban rail transit and modern service industry. SIRT has 12 departments such as Railway Engineering Department, Architecture Department, Rail Transit Department and etc. SIRT implements phased-middle and higher vocational cultivation, higher vocational education, applied undergraduate engineering education, international cooperative teaching and other school-running patterns. It currently has over thirteen thousand full-time undergraduates or college students. SIRT has achieved fruitful results in international operation. It has cooperated with colleges and institutions in Russia, Germany, the United States, Indonesia and other countries. It has established “Transport School of Shijiazhuang Institute of Railway Technology - Russian University of Transport” which is the only Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution run by higher vocational college in Hebei. SIRT also has introduced the German “Dual System” and set up the International Education of Chinese Language Teachers’ Training Base. In recent years, SIRT has successively won the honorary title of “Top 50 Influential Asia-Pacific Vocational Colleges”. The research on Sino-Russian cooperation won the first prize of Teaching Results at the Tenth Higher Vocational Education of Hebei Province. The case of international cooperation has been selected as typical cases by the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Education. At present, SIRT is the standing director unit in the council of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, vice chairman unit in the Rail Transit Committee of the Chinese Society for Technical and Vocational Education, vice-president unit of Hebei Vocational Education Society and vice-president unit of Hebei Railway Society. SIRT has been regarded as a region-leading and demonstrative higher vocational college. It is honored as “the Cradle of Innovative Technical Personnel and Professionals of Chinese Railway”.

石家莊鐵路職業技術學院位于河北省省會石家莊市，為省屬公辦全日制普通高校，始建于1950年9月，為國家示范性高等職業院校、國家優質高等職業院校、“中國特色高水平高職學校和專業建設計劃”高水平專業群建設單位，教育部首批現代學徒制試點單位、全國高職就業50強院校。

學院行業特色鮮明 ，服務鐵道運輸、城市軌道交通和現代服務業等領域。學院設有鐵道工程系、建筑系、軌道交通系、人文社科系等12個教學系（院、部），開展了中高職分段培養、高職教育、應用型本科工程教育、國際合作辦學等多模式辦學，現有全日制本?？圃谛Ｉ蝗f三千余名。

學院國際化辦學成果豐碩，與俄羅斯、德國、美國、印度尼西亞等多個國家院校和機構開展了國際合作與交流，建有河北省唯一一所高職舉辦的中外合作辦學機構“石家莊鐵路職業技術學院-俄羅斯交大交通學院”，引入了德國“雙元制”教學模式，建有河北省高職院校唯一國際漢語師資培訓基地。近年來，學院榮獲了“亞太職業院校影響力 50 強”稱號，中俄合作辦學研究課題榮獲了河北省第十屆高等職業教育教學成果一等獎，合作辦學經驗多次入選國家教育部、省教育廳典型案例。

學院現為中國職業技術教育學會理事會常務理事單位、中國職業技術教育學會軌道交通專業委員會副主任委員單位、河北省職教學會副會長單位、河北省鐵道學會副理事長單位。目前，學院已成為一所區域引領、國內知名的示范性高等職業技術學院，被譽為“中國鐵路創新型技術技能人才的搖籃”。
