Shandong Polytechnic was founded in 1951, and it is the construction unit of high-level specialty group under the national “Double High-level Program”, and it is one of the national backbone vocational colleges. In nearly 70 years since the beginning, the school has been cultivating a large number of high-quality skilled personnel with both integrity and ability, making positive contributions to the modernization of national rail transit industry and the regional economy development. The school has signed strategic cooperation agreements with more than 100 well-known schools and enterprises at home and abroad. It established the first Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school for vocational education in Shandong Province in cooperation with the Ural State University of Railway Transport in Russia, and built the China-Mongolia Vocational and Technical College Ulan Bator Campus with China Railway Resources Group Xinxin Company Limited, Mongolia. It has participated in “Development of Tanzania National Occupational Standards Program”. The Occupational Standards and Program Delivery Standards for Railway Engineering Technician have been certified by the Tanzania government.
山東職業學院1951年建校，是國家“雙高計劃”高水平專業群建設單位、國家骨干高職院校。建校70余年來，培養了一大批德才兼備的高素質技能人才，為國家軌道交通事業和地方區域經濟發展做出了積極貢獻。學校目前與國內外100多所知名學校、企業簽署戰略合作協議；與俄羅斯烏拉爾國立交通大學合作設立了山東省首個職業教育中外合作辦學機構，與中鐵資源新鑫有限責任公司共同建設中國-蒙古國職業技術學院烏蘭巴托校區，參與坦桑尼亞國家職業標準開發項目，鐵路工程技術員等職業教學標準獲得坦桑尼亞國家認證。
