Jining Polytechnic is located in Jining City, Shandong Province, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius, the capital of canals, and the national civilized city. It is a public higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Shandong Province in October, 2000. Jining Polytechnic now has 769 faculty members and 55 majors in 16 categories. It has built 10 advantageous specialty groups, including new generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, health care, cultural creativity, "Internet+" Business, smart construction, boutique tourism, preschool education, etc., and actively promoted international cooperative education. It has set up 5 Chinese-foreign cooperative majors, built 9 overseas internship and training bases, and has more than 20000 full-time students. Jining Polytechnic is one of the first batch of characteristic famous schools for cultivating skilled talents in Shandong Province, the construction unit of the construction project of high-quality higher vocational colleges in Shandong Province, and the civilized campus in Shandong Province. It has been approved as the first batch of cultural quality education bases of vocational colleges in China, the pilot unit of modern apprenticeship system of the Ministry of Education, and the experimental school of digital campus construction of vocational colleges in China. It was selected as one of CCTV's "Top 100 Vocational Colleges Tour" and was awarded the National Civilized Unit by the Central Committee of Civilization.
