Yan 'an university is the first comprehensive university named by Comrade Mao Zedong and founded by the Communist Party of China. It is now a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shaanxi provincial government, the Shaanxi high-level construction university, a key university for enrollment in Shaanxi province, and an institution that recommends outstanding fresh graduates to apply for the post-graduate qualification without examination. The school has three campuses, Xincheng, Yangjialing and Suiyuan, covering an area of more than 2800 mu with a total construction area of 1.08 million square meters.
