Beihua University is the largest key comprehensive university in Jilin Province, co-established by Jilin Provincial People's Government and National Forestry and Grassland Administration. In September 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Beihua University was established by the merger of the former Jilin Normal University, Jilin Medical College, Jilin Forestry College and Jilin Electric College. These former four schools were respectively Jilin Primary Normal School founded in 1906, Jilin Private Midwifery School founded in 1928, Jilin Forestry School founded in 1952, and Jilin Provincial Vocational School founded in 1920. Beihua University is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, which is called the Chinese Charming City and the Rime Capital for its beautiful scenery.
北華大學是吉林省省屬規模最大的重點綜合性大學，是吉林省人民政府與國家林業和草原局共建高校。于1999年9月經國家教育部批準，由原吉林師范學院、吉林醫學院、吉林林學院、吉林電氣化高等?？茖W校合并組建而成，原四校前身分別為創辦于1906年的吉林初級師范學堂、創辦于1928年的吉林私立助產學校、創辦于1952年的吉林省林業學校和創辦于1920年的吉林省立職業學校。學校坐落在風景迷人的霧凇之都、中國魅力城市——吉林省吉林市。
