Xinjiang Industrial Vocational and Technical College shall be approved by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, as a public full-time institutions of higher learning registered by the Ministry of Education. Xinjiang Industrial Vocational and Technical College has a fully functional teaching building, engineering training center, comprehensive training building, library, student apartment, student canteen and sports ground, covering an area of nearly 86,000 square meters. 新疆工業職業技術學院是由新疆維吾爾自治區人民政府批準、教育部備案的公辦全日制普通高等院校，隸屬于自治區工業和信息化廳，業務上接受自治區教育廳、人社廳指導。學校位于烏魯木齊市最具活力的經濟技術開發區（頭屯河區），毗鄰新疆知名的工業企業——寶武集團新疆八一鋼鐵有限公司。
