Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry & Commerce (GDPIC) is a full-time higher vocational college under the leadership of the People's Government of Guangdong Province. It is one of National High-level Vocational Colleges Under Construction,one of the Provincial Model Higher Vocational Colleges, and one of the Provincial First-class Higher Vocational Colleges under construction. The college has more than 647 faculty members, 22000 full-time students, and 9000 adult-education students. There are seven schools including Mechanical Engineering School, Electrical Automation School, Computer Science School, Remote Sensing Information Engineering School, Business Administration School, Economy and Trade School,Foreign Languages School. Among 43 majors, two of them gain national financial support, four of them are provincial model specialties and nine of them are provincial key specialties. The college has established cooperative relations with various educational institutions and organizations such as Genetic Computer School in Singapore, Victoria University and TAFE SA in Australia, F+U Education Group in German and Dongguk University in Korea. The cooperation in academic education, students and teachers exchanges, credit transfer, overseas internship and international certification are conducted to offer more international education opportunities for students.
