BFA (Beijing Film Academy), as known as the cradle of Chinese film talents, is the only film academy currently among China’s higher art schools, as well as the largest film academy in Asia and the world’s famous higher institution of film art, which enjoys a great reputation in both domestic and international industries of film, culture and art. During 65 years of construction and development, Beijing Film Academy has established a complete and scientific discipline system of film science, and has formed a multidisciplinary and multilevel training system of talents integrating film production, teaching, creation and scientific research, which cultivated a galaxy of high-quality film talents. Famous Chinese directors such as Zhang Yimou, Chen Kaige, Tian Zhuangzhuang, Jia Zhangke and Gu Changwei, who all graduated from Beijing Film Academy, have turned into the backbone force of the Chinese film industry at present. Beijing Film Academy, together with its famous teachers and excellent school inheritance, has created many classic works in the history of Chinese films, leading the developing direction in terms of education on Chinese films in various dimensions including discipline construction, teaching, creation, teacher training and talent selection.
