Weihai Vocational College, a state-run full-time vocational college, was founded in October 2000, which was approved by Shandong Provincial Government and registered at the Ministry of Education. As one of the first batch of 28 National Exemplary Vocational Colleges and Universities in China, it is also a national exemplary base for cultivating highly-skilled talents. In July 2019, the college was recognized by the Ministry of Education as a high-quality vocational college, and announced by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the professional construction institute and the high-level vocational college with Chinese characteristics. To meet the demands of local industries and support their development, our college offers 51 majors in higher vocational education, covering 14 categories including equipment manufacturing, electronics and information, finance, business and trade, education and P.E., and pharmaceuticals and health, etc. By the end of 2021, there are 19,972 full-time students, 1,197 faculty and staff, and over 400 part-time teachers rom cooperative enterprises hired over the years.

威海職業學院是一所全日制公辦普通高等職業學校，2000年10月經山東省人民政府批準、教育部備案成立。學校是首批28所“國家示范性高等職業院?！敝?，是國家高技能人才培養示范基地。2019年7月被教育部認定為優質?？聘叩嚷殬I院校，12月被教育部、財政部公布為中國特色高水平高職學校和專業建設計劃建設單位。學院適應地方行業產業發展需求，開設51個高職教育專業，覆蓋裝備制造、電子信息、財經商貿、教育與體育、醫藥衛生等14個專業大類。截至2021年底，全日制在校生19972人，教職工1197人，長年聘請的合作企業兼職教師400多人。
