Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) has been one of the key universities in China since the founding of New China and the first batch of universities which has entered the national “211 Project”, “985 Project” and the “Top A World-class University”. BIT now has 21 professional schools, 9 colleges as well as 8 other teaching and science research institutions, including Advanced Research Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Institute of Engineering Medicine, etc. In recent years, BIT has systematically built a coordinated development pattern of engineering, science, administration, literature and medicine, with 9 disciplines and 31 first-level discipline points, of which 30 first-level doctoral points, 9 discipline fields have entered the ranks of the world first-class, and 4 discipline fields have entered the top of the world first-class.
